ABOUT
Naomi Pearson,
BA (Hons), PGCE, Dip SpLD (PATOSS)
I have over 20 years’ experience in education, both in the private and state sector. Initially training as a classroom teacher, I now enjoy working as a specialist dyslexia teacher and assessor. I qualified through the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre for my Level 7 SpLD in assessing dyslexic learners; I have an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) through PATOSS, as well as full insurance. I strongly believe in providing a warm and encouraging approach during assessments.
Sutton Dyslexia Assessments
-
The assessment can take place at my home, in Cheam, your house or your child’s school in Sutton.
-
Making your child feel at ease during the assessment is of utmost importance; they will have lots of opportunities to discuss their interests, strengths and areas they find more tricky, as well as plenty of movement breaks.
-
Most children enjoy the process and the variety of different activities that they carry out.
-
The assessment report is sent to you within 3 weeks (although I usually aim to get them out within 1 or 2 weeks). Detailed recommendations for home, school and specialist teaching are included.
