Dyslexia Assessments in Epsom
-
Offering a calm and reassuring approach, to get the best out of your child on the assessment day.
-
Assessments can take place at your child's school, in Epsom; at my home, in Cheam, or at your house.
-
The assessment takes approximately 3 - 3.5 hours and your child will have plenty of time for movement breaks as well as the chance to discuss what they find easy or more challenging.
-
The report is 25-30 pages long and will include a detailed breakdown of your child's strengths and weaknesses as well as recommendations for examination access arrangements.
-
Detailed and targeted recommendations for school, home and specialist teaching will be provided.
-
I hold an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC), which means that your child's diagnostic report can be used as evidence towards Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) if they go on to higher education.

I'm Naomi Pearson, owner of Surrey Dyslexia Consultancy. I have extensive classroom teaching and tutoring experience across Key Stages 1-3. I currently work as a specialist dyslexia teacher and assessor, working with children on a one-to-one basis to help plug the gaps in their learning. I am a Level 7 PATOSS accredited assessor, fully insured and DBS checked. Carrying out diagnostic assessments is a rewarding role; I can see the difference this makes to the lives of the children I meet and a greater level of understanding of their strengths and difficulties, and ways to move forward.
